The Hotel's Late-Night Centerpiece

The Casino

A private gaming salon lit by candle and brass — roulette, baccarat, and card rooms tucked behind the courtyard. Open to in-house guests until the small hours, in the tradition of grand hotels.

A room built for the last hours of the night

The Casino at Desert Mirage is not a hall — it is a salon. Low ceilings, walls of blackened sandstone, and a single chandelier of smoked brass. Tables are spaced for conversation, not crowds; the air smells of cedar, candle smoke, and chilled champagne.

It opens at 8:00 PM and runs until the last guest is ready to leave. Entry is reserved for hotel residents and their invited guests — never a throng, never a queue, never the feel of a public gaming floor.

Games for the long evening

A small, considered floor: American and European roulette, baccarat, blackjack, and a private card room for Texas hold'em by arrangement. Limits run from modest to high; croupiers are hotel staff, not seasonal hires, and many have been with us for a decade.

On the floor

  • American & European Roulette — two tables, evenings from 8:00 PM
  • Baccarat & Blackjack — three tables, low to high limits
  • The Card Room — private Texas hold'em by reservation
  • The Salon Bar — cocktails, Champagne, and late table service

Champagne between hands

The Salon Bar runs the length of the back wall — a counter of blackened brass where the night's cocktails are poured between hands. The list leans to dark spirits, Champagne by the glass, and a signature smoked-date Old Fashioned built for slow play.

Table service continues to the gaming floor until close, so the evening need never break its rhythm.

The shape of the evening

A private salon lives by a few quiet understandings. These keep the night elegant for everyone under the lanterns.

Entry

Open to hotel residents and their registered guests, 21 and over. A room key or guest pass is required at the door — there is no walk-in public access.

Dress

Evening elegant after 9:00 PM. Jackets preferred for gentlemen; no sportswear, beachwear, or athletic footwear. The salon is part of the hotel's evening, not separate from it.

Hours

Tables open at 8:00 PM, seven nights. The salon runs until 3:00 AM Sunday through Thursday, and until 4:00 AM on Friday and Saturday.

Play Responsibly

The casino is an amenity of the stay, not its purpose. Limits and self-exclusion are available at the cage or through any host — no questions, no delay.

Then back to the dunes

The salon closes, the candles gutter, and the desert is waiting just beyond the courtyard — slate-dark, starlit, and silent. The hotel is the night, and the night is the hotel.
